Lustre announce - Sep 2004 - Lustre 1.3.1 (1.4 beta) now available

Lustre 1.3.1 (1.4 beta) has been released!

Lustre 1.3.1 contains several fixes over Lustre 1.3.0 and is a
recommended update for anyone running earlier Lustre versions.  The most
user-visible improvements in Lustre 1.3.1 are:
- MDS->OST recovery fixes
- reduce lock hold times that may have caused timeouts under load
- VFS fixes to avoid using invalid dentries on client
- add locking support for mmaped files
- lconf changes to support multiple ethernet interfaces

Lustre 1.3.1 is available immediately to customers with a CFS support
contract.  A link to the download page can be found at

Just to clarify, 1.3.1 is a beta release and not a recommended upgrade
for current 1.2 users.
