[Logcheck-users] Debian sarge logckeck - lockfile error
Hi, I got eMail from the hourly logcheck-cron job that it fails to get the lockfile. logcheck is fresh installed: # ls -al /var/lock/logcheck/ drwxr-xr-x 2 logcheck logcheck 4096 Feb 7 12:36 . drwx------ 6 root root 4096 Feb 7 06:26 .. # su -s /bin/bash -c "/usr/sbin/logcheck -t -l /var/log/syslog -d -o" logcheck D: [1139312644] Turning debug mode on D: [1139312644] Sourcing - /etc/logcheck/logcheck.conf D: [1139312644] Setting LOGTAIL_OPTS to -t D: [1139312644] Setting LOGFILE to /var/log/syslog D: [1139312644] Setting MAILOUT to 1 D: [1139312644] Finished getopts c:dhH:l:L:m:opr:RsS:tTuvw D: [1139312644] Trying to get lockfile: /var/lock/logcheck/logcheck.lock D: [1139312644] error: Not removing lockfile D: [1139312644] Error: Failed to get lockfile: /var/lock/logcheck/logcheck.lock Why ??
