Hi! I have started using logcheck a few days ago, and noticed that the team seems to be in need of volunteers. So, here I am, somebody has already approved my membership, and now I would like to start helping, specially with updating rules, as that was what triggered me to see how to help. Is there some workflow defined? Or should I just start grabbing bugs and committing to git? Thanks, Tincho. -- Mart?n Ferrari (Tincho)

I guess I will just start working on the bug queue and adding new rules :) Only on my server, I already have about 30 rules that need to be added... -- Mart?n Ferrari (Tincho)
Hi, Welcome! You can simply start with fixing open bugs by committing the changes to the git and marking the related bug as 'pending', or even better convince the maintainer of the corresponding package to maintain the rules in the package itself by using 'dh_installlogcheck'. Please keep in mind that adding or updating rules means that the corresponding log line is filtered out by default for all logcheck users. I for one only add rules for packages I know (and mostly use myself) so I can seriously decide if a log line should be filtered out or not. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask on this list or in private. Best regards Hannes
