[llvm-dev] Google Season of Docs program inquiry
Hi LLVM community, (if you never heard Google Season of Docs, please ignore) My name is Joe, who is a senior static analysis software engineer and also have lots of technical writing experiences (e.g., technical book writer, research paper, customer documentation). I am sending this letter to query a generic question about GSoD application. GSoD requires each applicant to submit a project proposal [1]. Does LLVM community expect applicants to publicly discuss their proposals in this maillist? At least I know that this is the way many open source orgs use in Google Summer of Code program. [llvm-dev] Google Season of Docs program inquiry
Hi Joe, I don't know about how the community necessarily expects GSoD to work, but for GSoC there was certainly plenty of discussion of project proposals on the mailing list. Certainly, I can't see how it can hurt to discuss something on here.
