[Linux_hpc_swstack] CentOS 5.5 Not Supported?
I was trying to install the software stack with CentOS 5.5 and I am receiving an error: please use yum to install the kernel-2.6.18-128.7.1.el5 RPM Looks like CentOS 5.5 is .18-194... Is there any work to get the installer and/or software working with the newer kernel version? Is regressing the kernel version the only approach? Thanks, Paul Monday
The latest stack fits into CentOS 5.3. Install the stack onto it and upgrade to 5.5 later. However, there will be no more stack upgrade since Oracle is quitting HPC business as far as I know. 2010/10/5 Paul Monday (Parallel Scientific) <paul.monday at parsci.com>> I was trying to install the software stack with CentOS 5.5 and I am > receiving an error: > please use yum to install the kernel-2.6.18-128.7.1.el5 RPM > > Looks like CentOS 5.5 is .18-194... > > Is there any work to get the installer and/or software working with the > newer kernel version?
