Linux_hpc_swstack - Sep 2009 - Sun HPC Software, Linux Edition 2.0.1 Release Announcement

Version 2.0.1 of the Sun HPC Software, Linux Edition product is now  
available for download at http://www.sun.com/software/products/hpcsoftware/

This release contains minor version upgrades to:
- Sun HPC Clustertools 8.2
- Sun Grid Engine 6.2u3
- OFED 1.4.1
- Powerman 2.3.5

There has been no change to the installation guide.

Thanks to the ''Giraffe'' team for the quality teamwork and
ongoing
extra effort required to produce these releases.

The next planned feature release for the Sun HPC Software, Linux  
Edition stack will be version 2.1, (code name Lazarus) targeted for  
the end of Q1-CY2010.   In addition to normal package updates, this  
release will contain:
- a new provisioning tool, YACI, already in use at BoM as part of  
their stack deployment.
- scripts to automatically deploy and configure Sun Grid Engine and  
SunStudio
- gtt/gtdb improvements
- heartbeat improvements
- OEL 5.3 support
- many other minor features and fixes.
