Hi all! It''s been a long time since our last update -- sorry about that. Today, we''re pleased to announce a new release of our ISO builder script, along with some new builds of our Linux HPC Stack components. Nothing revolutionary right now -- but it should fix up some of the problems that people have been running into. We don''t have a formal changelog yet (though that''s a good idea!), so let''s just list the changes here: ISO build script: * Fix yumdownloader options change (--config disappeared (!?!)) * Fix yum repositories to use vault.centos.org for 5.1 * Will now resume previous downloads if interrupted * Prerequisites checked before starting (x86_64, yumdownloader, etc.) * Cleaned up output to minimize pointless scrolling * Better verification of ISO contents HPC Stack components: * Rebuilt OFED stack with the correct versioning to always beat stock OFED components in a version comparison * Patchless Lustre RPMs rebuilt with lustre-client* naming scheme to differentiate from Lustre packages built for patched kernels These are fairly small incremental changes, for now. We do have plans for some bigger changes in the near-term: * Possible rebase to CentOS 5.2 * Verify 100% compatibility with RHEL 5.1 * Updated stack components (SLURM, Ganglia, oneSIS, etc.) * Better automation for component configuration * Verification suite Best, The Giraffe Team
