LightDM - Aug 2017 - animated screensaver for LightDM greeter

Hi to all!

I use ubuntu 16.04 with Mate, on my system I have 3 users (all my 
family), normally the pc is ON all day long so the LightDM greeter is 
often displayed, but LightDM screensaver is just a black screen and 
happens that the system (very silent pc) seems to be switched OFF. In 
this situation my wife and my son directly go to the ON/OFF button and 
cause the system restart (very bad). It is also true that LIghtDM 
greeter delays a couple of seconds to "wake up" when moving the mouse.
I wonder if exists any way to have an animated screensaver for LightDM, 
even a simple text string running on the monitor should be fine.
