LightDM - Apr 2016 - location of .dmrc file

Hello,

I hope this is the right place to ask:

In case lightdm is not able to read from my home directory (for example because
it is not mountable without asking the
user for a password first), how would I prevent it from trying to read ~/.dmrc?
And probably use some other location
instead, like /var/lib/xsession/$UID.dmrc or some other permanent storage
that's mounted at boot time?

Hi Sebastian,

LightDM only checks the home directory for .dmrc files. You could use
AccountsService [1] instead, which stores that information in a central
location.
