[LightDM] Unable to connect using Open Text Exceed XDMCP BroadcastQuery
So to clarify: Is the returned Willing message/packet different when responding to a Broadcast as compared to that from a Query. If so in what way does it differ. The only firewall between is Windows 10 as right now I have the Ubuntu firewall turned off (to be fixed later). To be clear, when you set Exceed to send BroadcastQuery LightDM reports that it sends a Willing back to it? That suggests to me the Willing is either being rejected by Exceed or a firewall has dropped the packet for some reason. On Wed, 16 Mar 2016 at 15:39 David C. If however I configure Exceed to send a BroadcastQuery all I get is a timeout. In both cases I see: Got [QueryType](authentication_names=[]) from 192.168.129.66:[portnumber] SendWilling(authentication_name=’’ hostname=’’ status=’’) 192.168.119.66:[portnumber] but only if [QueryType] is Query do I see GotRequest(display_number= …. Am I doing something wrong – or have I misconfigured a firewall rule somewhere? [LightDM] Unable to connect using Open Text Exceed XDMCP BroadcastQuery
The log shows all the content of the Willing as sent by LightDM, so you shoul be able to see by comparing the logs if it was different. Could you attach full logs so it is easier to work out what is happening? On Wed, 16 Mar 2016 at 23:52 David C.
