LightDM - Jul 2012 - 'lightdm --test-mode' fails with PAM error.

Hello.
We're testing lightdm in Fedora (lightdm 1.2.2-15 and lightdm-gtk 1.1.6-3)
as the people responsible for the Xfce spin intend to use it for the next
release.

When I run 'lightdm --test-mode', it fails to open lightdm-gtk-greeter
because of a PAM error.
~/.cache/lightdm/log/x-1-greeter.log says:

"Failed to open PAM session: Cannot make/remove an entry for the specified
session"

I'm attaching the logs, /etc/pam.d/lightdm and /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf

I'm not a programmer and don't understand much (actually very little of
this authentication things) but it looks like some permission error.
We had some trouble at first with selinux but this was fixed in selinux-policy
and lightdm seems to be working pretty fine.
I've set selinux to permissive mode. I don't know if selinux has
something to do with this or not.

I also noticed that
user-authority-in-system-dir=true
is uncommented in lightdm.conf. IIRC yesterday I tried setting it to false in a
local lightdm.conf, run with -c pointing to it but it made no difference.
Anyway, I'm here to test so whatever is required we do to troubleshoot this.

Fwiw, that's a fedora customization, to match other DM's in fedora.

Anyway, since its only to test we can comment and then uncomment.
