Hello Has anyone had any luck compiling rsvpd recently? I am trying to decide whether to use the ISI version or KOM-RSVP. I am running kernel 2.4.20. Try the ISI version...we were using it for about two years over RH 6.2/7.x until recently. And it normally will not depend on you kernel version since all 2.4.x kernels had traffic control support. It is a userspace daemon. /Amit On Thu, 2003-07-24 at 06:53, Burnside, Andrew wrote:> Hello > > Has anyone had any luck compiling rsvpd recently? > I am trying to decide whether to use the ISI version or KOM-RSVP. > > I am running kernel 2.4.20. > > Cheers > > Andrew > _______________________________________________ > LARTC mailing list / LARTC@mailman.ds9a.nl > http://mailman.ds9a.nl/mailman/listinfo/lartc HOWTO: http://lartc.org/-- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Amit Kucheria akucheria@<NOSPAM>metricsystems.com Metric Systems Corp. 2320 Cousteau Court, Suite 201, Vista, CA 92083 ----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, I did it using 2.4.18-2.4.21 kernels. You have to use ftp://ftp.isi.edu/rsvp/release/rsvpd.rel4.2a4-1.tar.gz and apply the patch that has been supplied by Craig Rodrigues from BBN to compile under RedHat Linux 6.2 and 7.0. ftp://ftp.isi.edu/rsvp/release/rsvp.patch.txt For the link to the kernel traffic control use Alexey Kunetsov''s traffic control adaptation module ftp://ftp.isi.edu/rsvp/release/linux-tc.tar.gz (don''t'' forget to change Makefile to activate it - by default rsvpd uses testing stub) Dimitry -----Original Message----- From: Burnside, Andrew [mailto:Andrew.Burnside@thalesgroup.com] Has anyone had any luck compiling rsvpd recently?
