LARTC - Jan 2002 - strange problem with 2.4.17 and htb

Hi,

  Trying htb (latest patches from the page) with 2.4.17 I get:

  RTNETLINK answers: File exists

  iproute is 20010824 with the patch from the page. 

  The kernel module loads, but is not used: 

  sch_htb                12672   0  (unused)

  Any ideas?

include command what you used to start htb. It is
hard to say what is wrong if I don''t know what you did :)

Ok, I updated the box to 2.4.18-pre7, and everything works like
 charm.

 Strange.
