[Instantrails-users] Fwd: whole lot of stuff disappeared from InstantRails/.../site_ruby/
Clifford sent this directly to me, but I want everyone to see it. Curt On 1/5/06, Clifford T. Here''s what happened... Up to preview7 IR used the the 1.8.2 version of the One-Click Installer. I wanted the 1.0 release to include the new 1.8.4 version of the One-Click Installer, but it won''t be ready for a few more weeks. Starting with preview8, I started using 1.8.4 of ruby-mswin32 instead (the One-Click Installer is based on ruby-mswin32 with many extensions added, notably the ones you miss). This is temporary. Once the 1.8.4 One-Click Installer is released, we will release Instant Rails 1.1 with it included. In the meantime, as long as you don''t mind using version 1.8.2 of Ruby you can simply use preview7, but copy in the InstantRails.exe executable from the 1.0 final release. I''ll post this to the FAQ, point other people to this when they ask the same question. Curt -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
