Icecast - Aug 2015 - Icecast 2 on ubuntu 14 - service will not start using /etc/init.d

All, I am hoping someone can help me out.

I am trying to start the icecast service using the /etc/init.d but it 
will  not start.

Nothing appears in the logs and I even tried to direct any errors to 
/std/err

However, the icecast does start from the command line using

icecast -c icecast.xml

any suggestions would be helpfull.

Open the /etc/default/icecast2 file as root in an editor. The last line
needs to be changed to

ENABLE=true

/etc/init.d/icecast2 start
Running Debian GNU/Linux is also necesary
configure /etc/default/icecast2 with ENABLE=true
Perhaps you should do the same.
