[Icecast] IceCast 2.2 MP3 stream and Real Player noise
I'm no expert, but it sounds to me like RealPlayer's decoder doesn't handle low bitrate streams very well. I set up a 64 kbps mp3 stream on my server and got the same artifacts, but it sounds fine in Winamp (though at 64 kbps, vorbis sounds much better).
