Icecast - Aug 2004 - Duration/Remaining time. Is it possible?

Hi everybody,

I am wondering if Icecast can post the duration of the currently played song
or the remaining time to an XML file. Is it possible?

Not possible - icecast doesn't know how long it is.

Ah ha! I got it working with streamTranscoder! Thank you very much!

Should something to this effect perhaps be added in the official
documentation/FAQ? I would think this may be a widely appreciately, yet
not widely known tool...
