[icecast] Icecast 2 recieving valid login from two sources
What happens when the Icecast 2 server already has a source connected & broadcasting, and another source attempts to login also with valid login info? Is the second source not accepted, or does the second source override the already connected source? --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. My experience has been that the second source is unable to connect while the mountpoint is occupied. However, on one occassion (using oddcast). I it looked like I'd connected with a second source to an occupied mountpoint - but the server did not actually pass the second connection to the stream. Just a fluke occurance, I'm sure. g. http://rva.freesounds.net

--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. Any source connecting to icecast2 has a 'mountpoint' - the path that the stream is provided on. If the mountpoints of the second source does not conflict with any existing mountpoint (i.e. is different from them all), the connection is happily accepted. If the mounpoint of the second source DOES conflict, the connection is refused. There are several listed on the main icecast page. Or you might want to have a look at mine at http://quasi.ksl.com/icecast/. A simple google query turns up several.
