I would like to use icecast and liveice as my normal account. If I do so, using xmms, I can access the relayed radios I have defined, but I cannot listen th the playlist liveice is broadcasting on /disk. XMMS tells me that the specified stream could not be found. If I launch icecast as root however, it works fine. I've searched through the logs and checked the file permissions but I didn't find anything interesting. What could I have missed ? Thanks <p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. Liveice writes temp files to a hidden directory called .liveice_temp_files that's created the first time liveice is run. If it's run by root the first time, other users won't have write priveleges to it. As root chown that dir to the user or group you want to run it under. -bg --- Bill Goldsmith www.radioparadise.com www.kpig.com> I would like to use icecast and liveice as my normal account. > If I do so, using xmms, I can access the relayed radios I have defined, > but I cannot listen th the playlist liveice is broadcasting on /disk.
