[Icecast] [Icecast-dev] Icecast 2.4 beta5 release
This is to announce the release of Icecast 2.4 beta5 (aka 2.3.99.5). We're looking forward to testing and feedback. As this is a beta release please discuss it on the icecast-dev mailing list. (Please do NOT cross-post to both lists, do NOT reply to the icecast mailing list, PLEASE reply to icecast-dev at xiph.org only). * Updated web interface to be fully XHTML compliant and mobile friendly. Credit to ePirat * Send charset in HTTP headers for everything, excluding only file-serv and streams. * Documentation updates * Backed out a patch that caused bad behaviour in combination with the -b command line option. Please test this and also all other new 2.4 features and report to the dev mailing list with your observations and findings. We've spent considerable time looking for memory leaks using Valgrind. While no tool is perfect, we believe that we've found all leaks related to source connections. All other memory activity is likely related to buffers and should plateau according to settings. We expect the next or latest the following release to be RC1. Source tar ball: http://downloads.xiph.org/releases/icecast/icecast-2.4-beta5.tar.gz Windows build: http://downloads.xiph.org/releases/icecast/icecast_win32_2.4_beta5.zip Also there are experimental packages for many distributions built on OBS: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?package=icecast&project=home%3Adm8tbr The package repositories are here: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/dm8tbr/ 2.4 beta5 is not intended for production use and _none_ of the packages have been tested, so if it scares your cat, bites your dog and blows up - enjoy the fireworks. Cheers Thomas

It looks like you've fixed them all! :) Here is a screenshot analogous to the previous ones: http://ftp.wombat.org.ua/IceCast-2_4_beta5-memory_leak.png Thank you for your work on this issue!
