All, I'm working on getting WebM support added to Icecast. Most of that work is being done by David Richards (oneman) of kradradio.com, but today I got a hacked up version of gstreamer's shout2send plugin to act as a source client. This involves adding WebM support to libshout as well. Libshout is a basic source client library for icecast and related streaming servers. I've committed the code for that and made a new libshout release, version 2.3.0. Currently it just forwards the raw data without throttling, so it won't work will with a non-live client. However, we're anxious to get this deployed, so I thought it was worth a release to get webm format support in the API. This is, in fact, the first libshout release in six years, so if it shakes out any other issues, feel free to raise them here.
