I am practically a newbie in all of this but i have to set up an online radio station for a client in two weeks. I am running on a linux based web hosting on a virtual server. i have read through the icecast documentation but do not know how to execute the unix commands and other stuffs like building and compiling those extra packages. I could really use some help. Also, I cant access the irc channel from my mirc. I will appreciate help with that too. Awaiting your speedy reply. --------------------------------- Boardwalk for $500? [Icecast] Re: [Icecast-dev] i need help with icecast installation
Hi, Replying only to the user list because it's the more appropriate list. Which distribution of Linux is your host running? It may be possible for you to install Icecast without having to compile it from source. Geoff.
