There are no Ubuntu specific instructions or packaged nagios plugins that
I'm aware of. You can you whatever tool you'd like for monitoring.
These repos are for gluster/nagios:
https://github.com/gluster/nagios-plugins-gluster
https://github.com/gluster/gluster-nagios-common
https://github.com/gluster/nagios-server-plugins-gluster
For a more "turn key" experience, use CentOS with the Storage SIG
packages:
https://wiki.centos.org/SpecialInterestGroup/Storage
... then use this guide as a reference:
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_gluster_storage/3.2/html-single/administration_guide/#sect-Monitoring_Red_Hat_Storage_Trusted_Storage_Pool
