[Gluster-users] snapshot create: failed: Snapshot is supported only for thin provisioned LV. Ensure that all bricks of replvol are thinly provisioned LV.
Hi Team,
Snapshot creation is failing with the error:
"snapshot create: failed: Snapshot is supported only for thin
provisioned LV. Ensure that all bricks of replvol are thinly provisioned
LV."
Gluster/OS Versions:
output of: gluster volume info replvol:
All the bricks are created from thin pools:
I see there is a open defect (Bug 1178031 -
[SNAPSHOT]: fails to create on thin LV with LUKS layer in between
) with similar failure message. I am not sure it is same.
PFA logs from gluster02 (where I ran snapshot create command).
Any suggestions will be helpful.
Regards,
Suneel

I am not > sure it is same. Are you using LUKS along with LVM? This bug was not taken up yet, but we will prioritize this for next release. If not just check that SELinux is enabled in your system. Currently snapshot has known issue with SELinux. If that is the case then disable SELinux and run snapshot create again.> > PFA logs from gluster02 (where I ran snapshot create command). > > Any suggestions will be helpful. > > > Regards, > Suneel > > > _______________________________________________ > Gluster-users mailing list > Gluster-users at gluster.org > http://www.gluster.org/mailman/listinfo/gluster-users
