[Gluster-users] Minimum system requirements to use GlusterFS
Hi, It is suggested in the documentation that we use a cluster of 4 or more x86-64 servers with SATA-II RAID and Infiniband interconnect for a storage cluster. Just wondering if we can use 32 bit machines (e.g. RHEL 5.2 32-bit) for a storage cluster? We have already tested GlusterFS on x86-64 servers, and it works perfectly but due to some constraints we have to use 32 bit machines now. Thanks, Bernard Chew -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... [Gluster-users] Minimum system requirements to use GlusterFS
I have a mix of 32 and 64 bit machines in my setup. Seems to do just fine, but dont take my word as official At 10:37 PM 10/3/2008, Bernard Chew wrote:>Content-class: urn:content-classes:message >Content-Type: multipart/alternative; > boundary="----_=_NextPart_001_01C925E3.5128F11E" > >Hi, > >It is suggested in the documentation that we use a cluster of 4 or >more x86-64 servers with SATA-II RAID and Infiniband interconnect >for a storage cluster.
