freedesktop - Jun 2025 - Problem after unplug/plug a cable monitor with screensaver enabled

Hi all,

I'm using a board with an Intel Atom x7433RE (Amston Lake), with a
Yocto distro and Weston 13.0.1 (kernel 6.12.12).
All works fine when the monitor is permanently connected to the board.

If I unplug the cable, wait for a while and then plug the cable again,
sometimes Weston displays the desktop background only.
No more status bar, nor already opened applications. 
Only the desktop background.

I can solve this problem only disabling the screensaver and the "lock"
feature, adding, in the weston.ini, the following parameters:

[core]
idle-time=0

[shell]
locking=false

Is this a known behavior? Is there any other solution/workaround if
I wanted to enable the screensaver?
