Is there a known issue with 9.0-RELEASE on amd64 VMWare Workstation? I tried to build a new VM on my new Lenovo W520 Laptop (Windows 7 Pro/64-Bit, 16G ram) and it gets to the Beastie menu, and times out, then dies. Any ideas? What can I provide? And, is there an issue with 9 in general, or could I install 8.3 and then source update it to 9 or 10? Did you tried disabling acpi to check? I had a similar problem, not with FreeBSD, but with DragonflyBSD.
