As the subject says. Geom labels are not updated, when a CD is inserted or removed. The only workaround I have found is to run # atacontrol detach ata1 ; sleep 0.5 ; atacontrol attach ata1 which is a rather dirty way of handling this, especially because there are two drives attached to this channel. I suppose the problem would be similar for card readers and floppy drives.
