freebsd stable - Apr 2005 - Support for NForce4 nve NIC

Can anyone tell me when if_nve will be merged into the -STABLE tree?

Are there plans changing systems compiler from gcc 3.4.2 to 4.0 or 3.4.3 
for better AMD64 optimization support?
