freebsd stable - Oct 2004 - Sound keeps dying

Running 4-STABLE.

Sound on my system works after boot, but then later stops.  Here's what I
see
in /var/log/messages...

The only other thing on IRQ 10 is a USB device, but I have no USB devices 
connected.

Is there anything I can tweak to make this work?
