Hello,>From ports, I installedEvolution Gaim GTKHtml Actually they got installed when I installed x11/gnome-lite Anyways, there is a permission problem with /usr/X11R6/lib/evolution /usr/X11R6/lib/gaim /usr/X11R6/lib/gtkhtml /usr/X11R6/lib/gnome-spell directories. They are installed with permissions 700. They need to be 755 for non-root users to use these applications. These worked without any problems in the past. Thank you Michael E Mercer

No other OS I use installs files as part of a packaging system with different permissions depending on my umask at the time, ports failing to install properly due to a more restrictive umask is very annoying.
