Hi all, I have this problem I can't understand: Under the login prompt just after the boot, the accentuated characters are accessible (French keyboard). rc.conf extract: keymap="fr.iso.acc" font8x16="iso15-8x16" font8x14="iso15-8x14" font8x8="iso15-8x8" When I log in, the accentuated characters don't work anymore even if I reload the keymap with kbdcontrol and the fonts with vidcontrol. I can't find any solution in the archive. Anybody has an idea ? Thanx a lot. Seb

E.g. I have LANG=da_DK.ISO_8859-1 LC_MESSAGES=en_US.ISO_8859-1 So you probably need to set those variables to something along like that. See http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/l10n.html for more information. (LC_MESSAGES is set to stop programs from trying to speak Danish.) -- Simon L.
