My "BUFFALO" ("WLI-PCM-L11G") pccard stopped working recently on STABLE: (it is on the list of cards supported by the wi driver). Now pccardd refuses to allocate a driver. It is possible that some thoughtless use of mergemaster overwrote some necessary entries in {pccard,rc}.conf but I cannot remember having put anything relevant there myself. Until 1-2 month ago the card worked after inserting, removing and reinserting it. Now this produces the following messages: (the wi-1 looks a bit strange) pccardd[61]: Card "BUFFALO"("WLI-PCM-L11G") [Version 01.01] [] matched "BUFFALO" ("WLI-PCM-L11G") [(null)] [(null)] pccardd[61]: driver allocation failed for BUFFALO(WLI-PCM-L11G): Device not configured /kernel: pccard: card removed, slot 1 pccardd[61]: wi-1: BUFFALO (WLI-PCM-L11G) removed. /kernel: pccard: card inserted, slot 1 and ps -alxww | grep pcc shows that /etc/pccard_ether wi-1 stop doesn't want to die 0 61 1 0 10 0 464 344 wait Is ?? 0:00.16 pccardd -z -f /etc/defaults/pccard.conf 0 17344 61 0 10 0 632 448 wait I ?? 0:00.00 sh -c /etc/pccard_ether wi-1 stop 0 17345 17344 295 10 0 660 476 wait S ?? 1:30.07 /bin/sh - /etc/pccard_ether wi-1 stop I would be grateful for any suggestion.
