Could you try adding the following file to
x11-servers/XFree86-4-Server/files and adding the filename to the list
after PATCHDIR in the Makefile, then recompiling?  It was committed to
XFree86 recently with a log message that sounds related.

If Andrew or Craig or someone with the problem could do it it would be
easier.  I've swapped out the board in frustration. 

If I don't see, I'll be happy to do so.  Someone step up to it soon,
I'll pop the board back in, recompile and let you know.

I'd give this a try tomorrow and let you know how it tuns out.

To help speed this up by not updating unnecessary packages, which XF86
packages do I need to update in order to test the nv driver? I'd guess..

imake-4.2.0_1
fontconfig-2.1_6
XFree86-libraries-4.2.1_7
XFree86-Server-4.2.1_7

and maybe

XFree86-VirtualFramebufferServer-4.2.1_1

If you could reward my laziness by giving me a pointer to the relevant
commit log or reference, I'd like to look at it.

I see that Bugzilla Bug 71[1] is unchanged as of now.

Gotta remember to pkg_create -b the xfree86 stuff this time just in case

I have nearly the same, but with XFree86-Server-4.3.0_3

Under 4.7-STABLE, it works fine.
