We are currently seeking a Senior Unix/Linux Network Engineer for our Wauconda, IL office. Primary responsibilities include the administration and upkeep of network services and Open Source servers. Responsibilities: * Maintains FreeBSD & Linux servers. * Maintains Websphere 6.1 ND on AS/400 platform in a vertical clustered environment. * Performs Cisco networking. * Resolves Websphere systems related problems. * Implements shell scripts for Linux maintenance. Qualifications: * Minimum 5 years experience in Senior Administration role and B.S. in Computer Science; or equivalent combination of experience and education is required. * Solid, varied experience with 2-3 of the following technologies: Linux, AS/400, Websphere ND 6.1, and/or Cisco is necessary. * Must have experience with tier 3 support for all 3 platforms. * Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a small group of highly focused individuals. * Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal direction. * Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills required. * Candidates will demonstrate command line skills on laptop (provided).
