Position Summary: This position is responsible for hands-on delivery of Unix/Linux and Network infrastructure projects. Essential Functions: * Scope and work all aspects of multiple small to mid-sized projects. * Gather, understand and manage technical requirements and expectations. * Create and follow internal and customer processes and procedures * Deliver work with quality, timeliness and within budget * Manage multiple small to mid-sized client IT infrastructures effectively on an ongoing basis * Drive to continually improve effectiveness, technical skills and vendor/industry knowledge. * Work with sales on preparing proposals. Essential Qualifications: * A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. * Linux/Unix/Networking certifications * Advanced experience in designing, implementing, and supporting Unix/Linux solutions for mid-sized companies. * Solid understanding of and experience with DNS, NIS, NFS, X-Window, Remote Access. * Solid understanding of routers and networking protocols and designs (TCP/IP, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP etc.). * Security, business continuity, capacity planning, problem determination experience. * Understanding of UNIX/Linux and Windows integration issues. * Shell, Perl Scripting background. Other languages programming experience a plus. * Storage systems: RAID, SAN, NAS a plus. * HPC Implementation experiences a plus. * Strong team working and building skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. * Excellent time and priority management skills. * Travel when required.
