Was this library version bump accidental? If so, you should really get out a 2.9.1 ASAP and pull this 2.9.0 verison. If the binary incompatibility was intended, then this should''ve been released as 3.0 and called out in the release notes. This is a huge issue for packagers and needs to be called out.
