Hi, This message is aimed at the list owner. I have tried e-mailing flac-dev-owner@xiph.org, without result. Posts to the flac-dev (and flac) mailing list is now being pushed onto Usenet by Gmane. This means that posters' e-mail addresses are being trawled by spammers to send SPAM to. Gmane will encrypt all e-mail addresses if the list administrator requests it. Can the list owner please do this by e-mailing "larsi+gmane@gnus.org". You can find more details at: http://gmane.org/tmda.php Also, in the Xiph.org Flac-dev archive, e-mail addresses are currently munged by replacing the "@" sign with " at ". I run an experiment which monitors the sophistication of the spiders the spammers use. Addresses of this form are not yet being harvested. However, they soon will be. If, instead, addresses were munged by replacing the "@" sign with a single space then the chances are that they will *never* be harvested. If it was possible to change the Xiph.org archive to do this then that would be really useful. Many thanks, Martin -- Martin J Leese Web: http://members.tripod.com/martin_leese/
