flac dev - Sep 2004 - porting flac to uClinux ?

hi
 I am trying to port the flac decoder library to
uClinux which runs on blackfin processor

I saw a directory contains ASM files inside
src/libFLAC/ia32.

I need to know, whether these files are to be
converted to corresponding blackfin ASM routines in
order for the decoder to work.

no, they are not required.  the ia32/ and ppc/ directories
contain optimized versions of several C routines in libFLAC.
if FLAC__NO_ASM is defined, libFLAC will be built using just
the C routines.
