Hi, Since the release of Xen 3 I believe than support for 2.6.14 has gone into -unstable. Are we likely to see this soon in rawhide as the current kernels (and indeed anything older than 2.6.13) won''t boot for me on my test system. I have not a lot on between now and the new year and am keen to test is all :-) Gawain

Make a wish, it may land as a present in time for packaging under the Xmas tree (or wherever you would like to see it, like rawhide mirrors :-) There is some interesting challenges though, one really need to synchronize the version of xen and the kernel-xen packages to avoid some not very funny debug sessions... I wish Santa would bring me a new toy for Christmas (or politically correct substitute)... :-)> There is some interesting challenges though, one really need to synchronize > the version of xen and the kernel-xen packages to avoid some not very funny > debug sessions...Yep fully understand, as I mentioned I''m just keen as mustard and want to hammer this baby before FC5 is released as I personally think that Xen is going to be a very important part of Linux where I use it most, in the enterprise. I wait with patience. Thanks. Gawain

I wish Santa would bring me a new toy for Christmas (or > politically correct substitute)... :-)If you check your preferred rawhide mirror, in my case http://fr.rpmfind.net/linux/fedora/core/development/i386/Fedora/RPMS/ you will find: kernel-xen-guest-2.6.14-1.21_FC5.i686.rpm kernel-xen-guest-devel-2.6.14-1.21_FC5.i686.rpm kernel-xen-hypervisor-2.6.14-1.21_FC5.i686.rpm kernel-xen-hypervisor-devel-2.6.14-1.21_FC5.i686.rpm and xen-3.0-0.20051206.fc5.1.i386.rpm it''s a bit bleeding edge, we don''t have public instruction yet on how to set up your system, but if you want to fool around with it, you can get an early taste of a xenified version of the normal rawhide kernel. However the network in the guest doesn''t work for me yet, so don''t try this if you''re expecting something which Just Work :-) Daniel -- Daniel Veillard | Red Hat http://redhat.com/ veillard@redhat.com | libxml GNOME XML XSLT toolkit http://xmlsoft.org/ http://veillard.com/ | Rpmfind RPM search engine http://rpmfind.net/
