Pryakhin,
This is what I do in my deployment and works without a problem. It is
rather straight forward.
On FDS.
---
* Under user account, enable Posix attribute (if you are doing it via
the console) or just add posixaccount objectclass for the entry
* Provide, uid, uidnumber, gidnumber and home dir information. ex.
schetty, 501, 501, /home/schetty
On your Linux client (all my clients/workstations are FC6)
* Run authconfig-tui (or system-config-authentication). Enter the your
server name/ip, base suffix
* Configure auto.master and auto.home
* Make sure you are able to mount your remote homes via nfs/autofs
* Run getent passwd to make sure your client can get user info from your
LDAP.
Cheers,
-Satish.
