[Fedora-directory-users] Task list blank
Hi, I''m running a healthy FDS installation on one box, but another installation on an identical box suddenly shows a blank task list for the default directory server. I don''t see anything in the error logs for the admin server or for the LDAP server. What do I do? I noticed this after a migration from DS 6.21, but after a restart of
the Console they were back and I didn''t get a chance to investigate.
Maybe this is my second chance!
After starting the main Console, start a tail on the access log of your
configuration DS (the one that holds o=Netscaperoot). Then when you
launch the Directory Server Console from the main Console it should put
3 or 4 searches in the log. Check the result codes of those
searches... One of them should be for base "cn=task summary,
cn=Operation, cn=Tasks,cn=slapd-{INSTANCE}, cn=Red Hat Directory Server,
cn=Server Group, cn={HOSTNAME.EXAMPLE.COM}, ou={EXAMPLE.COM},
o=NetscapeRoot". The description attribute of that entry is a
space-delimited list of tasks.
