Fedora directory users - Sep 2005 - MP linux kernel admin startus

I am unable to start the Fedora-ds admin server on RHEL 4 with a MP 
kernel.  I made the changes listed on the FAQ

but now I get the following error in /var/log/messages.  Any Ideas?

uxwdog[3573]: Server initialization failed.
