Fedora directory users - Jun 2005 - Admin Server on Centos 4.1

Hi to everyone,
i''ve installed Fedora Directory Server 7.1 on Centos 4.1 whit  
rpm -ihv fedora-ds-7.1-2.RHEL4.i386.opt.rpm
then i run 
/opt/fedora-ds/setup/setup 
but i''ve got the following errors:

Your new directory server has been started.
Created new Directory Server
Start Slapd Starting Slapd server configuration.
Success Slapd Added Directory Server information to Configuration Server.
Configuring Administration Server...
Setting up Administration Server Instance...
Configuring Administration Tasks in Directory Server...
Configuring Global Parameters in Directory Server...
Can''t start Admin server [/opt/fedora-ds/start-admin >
/tmp/filepYDgQG
2>&1] (error: No such file or directory)INFO Finished with setup,
logfile is setup/setup.log

So i try to star it manually typing:

/opt/fedora-ds/start-admin

whith the following output

Netscape-Enterprise/6.2 B04/18/2005 13:49
warning: daemon is running as super-user
[LS ls1] http://centos1.radiotrevisan.com, port 3000 ready to accept requests

but the daemon don''t start and i find nothing on port 3000

Some help will be very apreciated.

P.S. I''ve installed Fedora Directory Server on Fedora Core 3 whithout
problem.
I''m not an enghlish user, excuse for my poor english.

Take a look at /opt/fedora-ds/admin-serv/logs/error. It may give you a 
better idea what is wrong.

My guess is that the JRE didn''t get setup properly so it can''t
load
libjvm.so (it may say something about NSServletPlugin.so, same thing).

You can look at /opt/fedora-ds/bin/https/bin/start-jvm for how the 
JRE/JDK paths are configured.

Yup, must be something like it.  I have had the same issue and as soon 
as you boot the machine in UP kernel admin server runs fine.

error before:

i encountered this error by having a system configured to use LDAP for
uid/group lookups (see /etc/nsswitch.conf) and the LDAP server being
down.  when the server was down the install would display the above
error, and the admin server wouldn''t start.  once i configured the
nsswitch.conf to look at local files and not LDAP, the install went
smoothly.

i also found that if i installed using the default install option (2),
it never seemed to install right.  but, if i installed using the express
install (1) it worked fine.

you could try editing the start-admin script and adding "strace" right
before the command that starts the admin server.  that may lend some
details where the process is dying.

I''ve modified the file in this way:

./$PRODUCT_BIN -d $PRODUCT_SUBDIR/config -strace $@

And so there is a new line in /opt/fedora-ds/admin-serv/logs/error :

[29/Jun/2005:09:35:38] failure ( 4191): Invalid configuration: Could
not determine base pathname of the file

I''ve tried the same things on Centos 4.1 and Fedora Core 4.
