[Eventmachine-talk] Problem installing eventmachine in ubuntu 7.10
Hi, Im trying to install Eventmachine gem in Ubuntu 7.10 and I get this error: $ sudo gem install thin Building native extensions. This could take a while... ERROR: Error installing thin: ERROR: Failed to build gem native extension. /usr/bin/ruby1.8 extconf.rb install thin checking for main() in -lpthread... yes checking for sys/epoll.h... yes checking for main() in -lcrypto... no creating Makefile make g++ -I. -I. -I/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/i486-linux -I. -DHAVE_SYS_EPOLL_H -I/ include/include -DOS_UNIX -DBUILD_FOR_RUBY -DHAVE_EPOLL -DWITHOUT_SSL -fPIC -fno-strict-aliasing -g -O2 -fPIC -c cmain.cpp make: g++: No se encontr? el programa make: *** [cmain.o] Error 127 Gem files will remain installed in /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/ eventmachine-0.10.0 for inspection. EM is most definitely compatible with Ubuntu. It''s what I run on the machines used to develop EM! I recently ported the EM reactor core from C++ to C.
