The Java EM reactor will be supported indefinitely. Not many people are
using it at the moment but I expect that to change as JRuby gets more widely
used. The EM roadmap calls for a 0.10.0 release that will be the first
production version of the Java reactor.
The Java EM reactor is fully factored away from Ruby. As far as I''ve
been
able to tell, there''s not anything like EM in the Java world.
