Eventmachine talk - Aug 2006 - Preliminary implementation of a deferrable HTTP

Sync the latest SVN and look in version_0/lib/protocols/httpclient.rb. There
is a usage sample there, although docs of the available options is needed.

This is preliminary (only supports GET at the moment), unit tests are
inadequate, and there is a long TODO list. However, performance is already
very nice, easily reaching several hundred requests per second, more with
servers on your local LAN.


Give it a shot and let me know what you think. Patches and improvements
gratefully accepted.
