dtrace discuss - Oct 2009 - how to escape $ in a function name

Hi guys,

One of the functions I want to trace has a $ in it and I can''t find any
easy way of making DTrace not interpret the $ as a variable name. Does anyone
know how to escape the $ in dtrace?

This is the function I am talking about

root at localhost:/var/tmp# dtrace -l | grep 73087
73087    pid2686     libz.so.1.2.3               _$c1A.deflateInit2_ entry

You may be able to wildcard it:

   pid2686:_?c1A.deflateInit2_:entry
