Javascript is executed typically within the browser. So you would use
DTrace on the machine that is running the browser to observe the
execution. You can run dtrace as non-root user. You just need the
extra previledges (at least on Solaris its simple to get the required
previledges) See

JavaScript is now being used on the server side as well. You can debug
it on the server if it runs on the server side. Yes, you can monitor
it on live production system.
