dtrace discuss - Sep 2007 - DTrace on MacOSX question

Hey,

Anyone have any details about DTrace on MacOSX ? I understood that the new
version, Leopard, will bring DTrace to MacOSX. Any ideas about:

 - what providers will be available 
 - will it be integrated into default OS, or do you need to separetely install
something
 - is any UI available with DTrace on Mac ?
 - documentation ?

Looking to get a MacBook Pro and I was thinking about DTrace on Mac.

I was kind of hoping that some of the Apple folks would chime in, but
they''re
probably not going to announce anything before Leopard ships.

It looks like fbt, pid, syscall, and a bunch of the SDT providers will be
there. It also sounds like they''re going to ship some of the USDT
providers
standard (e.g. the ruby provider).

It has been in the default installs.

According to their web pages the Xray application will use DTrace at least in
part as a backend.
